Clown House Appears in Hollywood

A spooky house has appeared on the corner of Hollywood and Vine to coincide with the release of the new horror movie It.

As abc7 reports, the attraction is known as "It Experience: Neibolt House Hollywood", its name coming from the Niebolt House featured in the movie and the book it's based on. Created by Warner Bros., it hopes to scare people into seeing the new film before it's taken apart this Sunday.

A faithful recreation of the set used in the movie, tours of seven are guided by children dressed in yellow rain slickers holding red balloons playing the character of Georgie from the film. Groups will travel throughout the house experiencing different scenes from the movie set both in the house and elsewhere within the fictional town of Derry, Maine.

Scarier than any murderous clowns or dead children, though, is the immense line wrapping around the sidewalk. Fans are desperate for their chance to make it inside prior to the Friday release of the film. Each twenty minute tour is entirely free, hours of operation lasting from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM every day until the end of the week. The only requirements involve making a reservation at the attraction's website and being 18 years of age or older.

For the uninitiated, It is a new movie based on the book of the same name written by prolific horror author Stephen King. The story follows a group of children and their attempts to combat the murderous existential clown known as Pennywise. Previously adapted into a television miniseries during the 90's starring Tim Curry as the titular monster, the story has found new life in a darker and seemingly more faithful adaption on the big screen.

The film opens September 8th around the country. Reserve tickets are already on sale.
